About Pietra Bath
A specialist studio devoted to the craft of tile.
Pietra takes its name from the Italian word for stone. We are a Kelowna tile installation company with a narrow focus: beautifully built showers and luxury tile work, executed with the precision the materials deserve.
Our Story
Why we only do tile.
Pietra Bath was founded on a simple observation: the most beautiful bathrooms in the Okanagan were being let down by tile work that looked fine on day one and failed quietly in the years that followed. Lippage you could feel underfoot. Grout lines that drifted. Niches that landed wherever the framing allowed. Showers that leaked into the floor below.
We chose to specialize because tile deserves specialists. Rather than offering every renovation service, we focus on the surfaces that define a bathroom and on the preparation, waterproofing, and layout work that make them last.
Our inspiration is the Italian shower: open, curbless, and clad floor to ceiling in stone or porcelain, with nothing to interrupt the eye. It is the hardest kind of shower to build well, and it is the kind we love most.
Philosophy
Quality tile installation is about much more than placing tiles.
It is preparation, waterproofing, layout planning, precision cuts, alignment, grout consistency, and carefully executed finishing details. These are the principles we hold ourselves to on every project.
Precision
Flat substrates, tight joints, aligned niches, mitered corners. We measure in millimetres because that is where quality lives.
Integrity beneath the surface
Waterproofing, slope, and movement joints are invisible when we are done. They are also what protect your home.
Material knowledge
Porcelain slab, honed marble, travertine, and limestone each demand different setting materials, sealers, and handling. We know the difference.
Respect for your home
Protected floors, sealed dust barriers, tidy tool staging, and a clean site at the end of every day.
Clear communication
A written scope, a realistic schedule, and honest updates. No surprises, and no questions left unanswered.
Local commitment
We live and work in the Okanagan. Our reputation is built one bathroom at a time, in the same neighbourhoods we call home.
